Terms

The terms you agree to when you use Citely.

The free audit

The free audit is exactly that - free. You can run one audit per email address. There is no payment required and no card taken. We reserve the right to rate-limit or block abusive usage (mass scripted submissions, attempts to scrape the service, audits run against sites you do not own or operate).

What the audit is, and what it isn't

The audit is a point-in-time advisory snapshot of your website's technical readiness to be cited by AI search engines. It is not a guarantee of citation, ranking, traffic, or commercial outcome. AI citation depends on factors we do not control - brand authority, content quality, sector competition, and the specific way each engine retrieves and reasons about its training data.

We do our best to keep the methodology current as AI engines evolve. The signals we check, and the weights we apply, will change over time. The audit you run today is a reflection of our methodology today; it may differ from one run six months later.

No SLA on uptime

The free audit is provided as-is and as-available. We do our best to keep the service running, but we do not commit to a specific uptime target for the free tier. Paid plans, when available, will have their own service-level commitments.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Citely to audit sites you do not own or have permission to audit at scale, to attempt to bypass rate limits, to scrape the audit output for reproduction in another product, or to do anything that interferes with other users' ability to use the service.

Updates to this notice

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continued use of Citely after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed under English law, Citely is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the audit. The audit is advisory; commercial decisions you make based on it remain yours. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by talking to us at hello@citelyapp.com shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
